Monaco. 15 km. One of the most famous and glamorous cities in the world with its casino at Monte Carlo, F1 Grand Prix each May, tennis tournament and of course its incredible nightlife.
Ventimiglia. 20 km. Just across the Italian border, with wonderful views and beaches, and famous for its wonderful covered daily market with a staggering array of fruit, vegetable, fish, meat, cheese and of course pasta! On Friday mornings, it also holds the largest street market in Europe! Quite an experience!
Villefranche sur Mer. 30 km. Close to the Italian border, a very attractive historic town and one of the most exclusive spots on the Cote d'Azur. Built on terraces, it overlooks the beautiful bay below. Its superb harbour is known to be one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.

Antibes-Juan les Pins. 55 km. Two towns in one! Antibes with its vibrant historic centre with narrow winding streets, a good choice of restaurants, cafés, theatres, piano bars, chic hotels, private clubs and Picasso museum, and Juan les Pins renowned for its gorgeous beaches, exciting nightlife with fashionable night clubs, casino and even night shopping. Also Cap d'Antibes, a small piece of paradise, home to a number of millionaires.

Discovering Nice

The first stop for anyone arriving in Nice should be The Colline du Chateau. Overlooking the Baie des Anges and the harbour, from here you will find spectacular views of the city on all sides. In case you do not want to walk, you can use a lift to get you on your way up the hill. This beautiful park with children's play area and scenic waterfall is a fantastic place to escape the busy streets and relax.

Between the sea and the palm trees, take a traditional stroll along the Promenade des Anglais, which has been a celebrated promenade along the Mediterranean since the 19th century. Nowadays the promenade comes alive with sunset strollers, bikers and post-work joggers. Enjoy the buzz of the promenade with a glass of wine from one of the cosy restaurants overlooking the sea. Having a cocktail in the elegant Negresco bar, is a wonderful experience.

At the southern side of the promenade, you can visit a beautiful botanic garden park - Phoenix Park. With an inner zoo, swan pond, fountain, and some attractions for children there are plenty of things to explore! (Entrance fee of 3 euros).

Stroll through the Old Town

Beaches in Nice

Make the most of the pleasures of the sea! With nearly 10 km of beaches stretching from the Bay of Angels, you can choose between 20 public and 15 private beaches according to your preferences. You won’t find powdery white sandy beaches in Nice, beaches here are strewn with large pebbles (in French - galets) worn smooth by many years of wave action. These stones brought from the mountains to the coast have become Nice's natural heritage.
