The first race, held on 1929 was organized by cigarette magnate Anthony Noghes under the patronage of the “Automobile Club De Monaco” and was won by the Bugatti driver William Grover-Williams.

The 2015 Race ended with Nico Rosberg at the top of the podium, while Lewis Hamilton was forced to settle for third place after Mercedes pit-stop blunder.
